I’m after a recommendation for a “guest gun”. It’s primary use would be as a guest gun when taking friends clay pigeon shooting. However I’d like to give Practical Shotgun a go and would like double up here.
My requirements:
* 12g
* Section 2
* Semi auto
* reasonable priced (sub £750, but the sub-er the better)
* universally fitting, as it’ll be…

Benelli m2 meets your requirements apart from perhaps the light loads. But its soft shooting and fit can be adjusted fairly easily its also nice and light, plenty in your range and are often seen in practical comps!

I agree with Dan but the Winchester sx4 is a good option Very reliable what ever load you plan to use .

So I have a S1 M2 speed for practical uses. It’s a great gun for what I use it for. However the pin holding the trigger assembly can work loose when firing multiple shots. Is there a locking version? Or do I just need a new pin? Any advice welcome.

Simon I have just joined the group your loose pin you can try locktite 638 it’s a high strength adhesive try that

So gun went back to GMK, it was missing a retaining clip. All sorted. Happy chap again.

Does anyone know if the Armsan RS S1 has been discontinued? I know there are some new wooden stocked ones about but I wanted one with an adjustable stock. I’ve had a look on the Armsan website and it doesn’t list it anymore and the contact us link doesn’t work. If that’s the case whats everyone’s thought on the new Tigris or do I start…

Not sure what’s available now but I went for the M2 speed. Less cleaning than the Beretta. Works really well. Slight issue with a pin working loose but apart from that recommended. Quad loads are a nightmare. 🙂

Had one of these as a young lad for my first shotgun on my grandads ticket, last forward about 20 years and last month I finally grabbed one of my own!

Hi guys, just acquired a lovely folding .410 single shot. Does anyone know where I can buy some cartridges at a decent price in the West Midlands and Worcestershire area? I have a few ELEY fourlongs 2/1-2” that shoot well.
-
Decent price and .410 in the same sentence? 😂 you’ve got Durrants in the middle of Worcester, Shooting supplies in redditch(or bromsgrove) can’t remember which!
-
Dan I use Sandwell Filed sports that are manly shot gun cartridge sellers
